Chery exports in January exceed 11000 vehicles

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai February 13) - A recent report from Chery Automobile shows that the Anhui-based manufacturer exported a total of 11,823 vehicles in January, Beijing News reported today. The amount represents a 25.1 percent increase from the previous month and is 21.2 percent higher than last January's figure.

The Chery Tiggo (pictured) was once again the manufacturer's best selling model overseas, with a total of 5,185 units sold. The SUV accounted for 43.9 percent of Chery's exports.

Chery's domestic sales last year reportedly failed to meet earlier targets; however, the manufacturer was aided greatly by its 160,200 exports. Chery was the country's top automobile exporter in 2011.
