Dongfeng to recall over 8800 Nissan Tiidas
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai March 16) - Dongfeng Motor, in accordance with the Administrative Regulations on Recalls of Defective Automobile Products, will begin a recall of the Qida versions of its Nissan Tiida compact on March 20, cheshi.com reported today. The recall will target 8,818 Tiidas manufactured between late April and late December of last year. The vehicles in question are outfitted with the MR16 engine.
The fuel pressure sensors in the Tiidas (pictured) in question are suspected to be insufficiently tightened. If left untreated, the sensor may eventually lose contact with the fuel rail, which may lead to potential fuel leaks.
Dongfeng Motor, via authorized Dongfeng Nissan dealers, will contact affected owners via mail, telephone and other methods to commence free inspection and maintenance of their vehicles.
