Dongfeng Honda Ciimo to hit Chinese markets later this month
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 12) - The first model in Dongfeng Honda's new own brand Ciimo will be making its market debut in Beijing on April 22, chexun.com reported. The Ciimo name and logo were first mentioned at last November's Guangzhou International Motor Show. It is destined to be Dongfeng Honda's first own brand vehicle and its fourth model, following the CR-V, Civic and Spirior. The Ciimo is expected to be priced around 110,000 yuan ($17,412).
The Ciimo (pictured) will reportedly be based on the eight-generation Civic, with its exterior design being very similar to that car. The new car inherits the Civic's conservative look, down to the tear drop headlights. The most notable change may very well be the new logo adorning the Ciimo. With the Civic now in its ninth generation, the Ciimo might help attract customers inclined towards the old design. The car measures 4.54 m long, 1.75 m wide and 1.45 m tall.
The Ciimo will be powered by a 1.8 L engine, which is likely to be based on the current generation Civic's 1.8 L engine.
