Over 650 imported Peugeots recalled in China

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 2) - PSA Peugeot Citroën China has sent a notification to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine ordering a recall of imported Peugeots in China, chinacars.com reported today. The recall, which is already in full swing, targets a total of 655 Peugeot 207 CCs and RCZs in China. The vehicles in question were manufactured between June 2010 and March 2011.

The engine pistons in the vehicles in question are feared to be prone to being damaged under pressure. If the pistons are damaged, the engine could cease to function, preventing the car from operating properly. PSA Peugeot Citroën China will service the engines of all recalled vehicles free of charge. Authorized import dealerships have already begun contacting owners via writing to set up appointments for repair.
