Chery exports over 20000 vehicles in June, cumulative overseas sales now above 700000 units

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 25) - Chery's monthly exports exceeded 20,000 units for the second consecutive time in June, the Beijing Morning Post reported today. The manufacturer's cumulative overseas sales have topped 700,000 units, allowing Chery to retain its titles of China's largest automobile and passenger automobile exporter.

Beginning in October 2001, when Chery exported its first vehicle overseas, the manufacturer has seen its annual export volume grow from ten vehicles to 160,200 over just a decade. Average yearly growth has been around 163 percent, setting a new record for other Chinese manufacturers to break. Chery exported 92,494 vehicles in the first six months of this year, representing year-on-year growth of 28.8 percent for the manufacturer.
