Gasgoo.com (Shanghai September 27) - Chery Automobiles and US semiconductor company Analog Devices's highly anticipated jointly owned Chinese research company, the Chery ADI Joint Laboratory, has officially been established earlier this week, Xinhua reported today.

According to Chery, the new company will take advantage of ADI's advances in data conversion and signal conditioning technology and Chery's production capabilities to help both parties develop in their respective fields. Chery hopes that the cooperation will help bring Chery to the forefront of the automobile electronics field in China.

ADI was established in 1965, with its headquarters located in Norwood, Massachusetts. The company is now listed on the Standard & Poor's 500. ADI's products have important applications for automobile safety and environmental impact.

The deal with ADI is only the latest in Chery's multinational relationships. The manufacturer has partnerships with AVL, Johnson Controls, PPG, Valeo, Bayer and Bosch.
