Exports make up almost 40% of Chery's total sales in September
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai October 21) - Chery sold a total of 47,948 vehicles globally in September, the China Business Times reported earlier this week. The number is 6.5 percent higher than what the Anhui based manufacturer sold in August. Furthermore, exports constituted close to four tenths of that amount, 20,269 units. The export figure is a new record for Chery. Its domestic sales have also increased for the third month in a row.
In an interview with the press, Chery Deputy General Manager and Spokesman Huang Huaqiong stated that Chery was putting extra effort in expanding its overseas business in order to cope with an increasingly competitive domestic market. The manufacturer is taking steps to ensure that its sales network for foreign markets is comprehensive and complete. Recruiting more new talent, improving localization and introducing new models are among the measures Chery is taking.
Chery's export sales over the first half of the year have exceeded 20,000 units. The manufacturer has exported a total of 149,490 vehicles over the first three quarters of the year.
Chery scores on J.D. Power Asia-Pacific Company’s Consumer Satisfaction Index and Service Satisfaction Index surveys this year were both higher than they were in 2011.
