Guangzhou international auto show opens

Xinhua (Guangzhou) - The 10th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition opened on Friday in the south China city of Guangzhou, featuring the participation of all major Japanese car brands.

Japanese brands such as Toyota, Honda and Nissan brought their latest models to attend the annual event, one of the country's three major auto exhibitions.

Toyota and its Chinese joint ventures showed 46 cars on an area of 4,500 square meters, the largest display area for the company at the event, according to organizers.

The exhibition has been extended to ten days, up from seven days last year. The display area hit 200,000 square meters with 950 cars, including 34 models making their global debut.
