Dongfeng sells over 130000 vehicles in January

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai February 20) - Dongfeng sold a total of 130,000 vehicles in January, representing year-on-year growth of 21.1 percent, Gasgoo.com (Chinese) reported today. A total of 101,000 Dongfeng passenger automobiles and 29,000 commercial vehicles were sold during the month. Respective year-on-year growth figures for both automobile types were 25.6 percent and 7.9 percent.

Sales of Dongfeng Nissan vehicles made up 76,000 of the manufacturer's sales last month, increasing 14.7 percent from the previous January. Monthly sales of the New Teana, New Sunny and Qashqai totaled 11,000 units, 14,000 units and 8,700 units, respectively. Sales of the Sylphy series last month totaled 25,000, growing 50 percent from last January. The own brand Venucia D50 (pictured below) and R50 also performed strongly, managing to accumulate over 10,000 new orders over the month.

Meanwhile, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle managed to sell 35,000 vehicles in January, equivalent to year-on-year growth of 52.4 percent. The subsidiary company sold nearly 10,000 medium and heavy trucks, making it the most successful Chinese company in the segment last month.

Dongfeng Liuzhou sold 23,000 vehicles last month, nearly double the amount it sold last January.
