Hyundai sells over 129000 vehicles in China in March

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 3) - Hyundai sold a total of 129,335 domestically manufactured automobiles in China last month, Gasgoo.com (Chinese) reported today, citing statistics from the manufacturer's recently released quarterly sales performance report. The sales result represents year-on-year growth of 27 percent for the manufacturer. A total of 394,885 Hyundais and Kias were sold in the country over the first quarter of the year, representing year-on-year sales growth of 40 percent.

Beijing Hyundai and Dongfeng Yueda Kia's sales amounts for March totaled 83,500 units and 45,855 units, respectively. The Langdong Elantra (pictured above) was Beijing Hyundai's best selling model last month, managing to bring in 17,109 orders. It was followed by the Verna (pictured below), whose sales totaled 15,502 units. Monthly sales of its Yuedong Elantra and ix35 urban SUV respectively totaled 17,596 units and 12,718 units. Dongfeng Yueda Kia, meanwhile, sold 12,083 K2s and 11,060 K3s.
