Zheng Zhaorui resigns from position as Chery's head of sales
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai April 16) - Zheng Zhaorui, head of Chery's sales department and assistant to the general manager, will be resigning from the manufacturer, auto.163.com reported today, citing so-called "reliable sources". The news comes not long after Chery announced that it will reorganize its sales networks.
Mr. Zheng (pictured) was appointed to head Chery's sales department last June when Ma Deji stepped down from the position. Mr. Zheng, who previously worked in the manufacturer's quality assurance department, was the fifth person to assume the position in three years. In a comment posted on his Weibo account, Mr. Zheng expressed his appreciation for his colleagues and reminisced about his time working at the manufacturer.
As part of its ongoing internal reorganization, Chery is preparing to unify its domestic and international sales networks. According to the plan, Mr. Zheng would report to both Chery Automobile Deputy General Manager and Chery International General Manager Zhou Biren and Chery Automobile Board Chairman Yin Tongyue. It is unclear who will take Mr. Zheng's position following his departure.
