Dongfeng aims to export 100000 vehicles in 2013

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 22) - Dongfeng Motor is aiming to export 100,000 automobiles this year, jfdaily.com reported today. The number, which was announced by Dongfeng at a recently held annual summit for its overseas dealerships, is 18 percent higher than the amount it exported a year ago.

Following the establishment of the Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Company, the manufacturer exported over 84,800 vehicles in 2012, representing year-on-year growth of 32.26 percent. As expected, commercial vehicles made up the majority of Dongfeng automobiles sold overseas. In order to fulfill its 100,000 vehicle export goal for this year, the manufacturer will work on improving its product lineup and dealership network. Dongfeng will develop new products to satisfy consumer tastes in different regions. The Fengshen A60, Joyear SUV and Fengshen H30 Cross are among the new models which the manufacturer has developed with an eye for overseas markets. Meanwhile, Dongfeng has established two sales companies to serve foreign markets. It has also added 32 passenger automobile dealerships and 74 commercial vehicle dealerships in South America, Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
