Beijing Hyundai announces news deputy GM, previous GM to join BAIC
Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 9) - Beijing Hyundai has appointed Liu Fengzhi to the role of acting deputy general manager for the joint venture, Gasgoo.com (Chinese) reported today. Mr. Liu, who currently serves as deputy head of sales management, will replace Li Feng, who will leave the joint venture to work at parent company BAIC Holdings as company president. Mr. Liu's original post will be overtaken by Wu Zhoutao, head of the sales management department.
Mr. Liu (pictured above) joined Beijing Hyundai in 2008. He previously worked at Beijing Benz and its predecessor Beijing Jeep as sales manager. In his five years at Beijing Hyundai, he worked directly under Mr. Li and BAIC Group General Manager Xu Heyi. He was responsible for making several innovative developments for the joint venture's sales operations.
Mr. Liu's replacement, Mr. Wu (pictured below) has been with Beijing Hyundai since 2002, working up from its sales team to oversee the sales management department.
Beijing Hyundai aims to manufacture and sell one million automobiles, bringing in 100 billion yuan ($16.16b), by 2015.
