KIA China 2013 sales target raised 4% to 520,000 units

KIA motor announced to raise 2013 annual sales target since the achievements in China was inspiring in the first half year. The originally-set annual sales in Chinese market was 500,000 units, now raised 4% to 520,000. Besides, the third workshop of Dongfeng Yueda KIA located in Yancheng, will get working earliest from March.

In June this year, sales of Dongfeng Yueda KIA was 45,112units, raised 26.9% compared with last year’s 35,553in June. The K2 and K3 sales totaled 12,288units and 11,462 units respectively; K5 4,885 and Sportage 6,981. In first half year, Dongfeng Yueda KIA accumulated 276,466 sales, increasing 25.0% year-on-year.

The recently-published financial report of the second quarter and the first half year indicated that in the second quarter, Chinese market contributed 19% operating revenue to KIA.
