BAIC to restructure Zhenjiang Auto and complete five bases layout

BAIC President Xu Heyi’s distribution of BAIC production base is going to end a smooth outcome. Sources ever said BAIC top seniors were secretly negotiating with Jiangsu local government and planned to restructure Jiangsu Zhenjiang Automobile factory so as to set up East China base of BAIC.

It is said that there is the newest development of BAIC’s early-published plan to merge one or two domestic industries during this year. This afternoon, BAIC is going to sign framework agreement with Zhengjiang municipal government. BAIC is going to restructure Zhenjiang Automobile factory.

Although the specific amount of restructuring investment has been officially published, BAIC will get Zhenjiang’s whole production quality which is taken as the condition of restructuring Zhenjiang Automobile factory.

Restructuring Zhenjiang Automobile factory means that BAIC successfully distributes East China area which becomes the fifth production base after BAIC successfully lays out the production bases of North China(Beijing Shunyi, Hebei Huanghua), South China(Guangzhou Zengcheng), Southwest China(Sichuan Yinxiang) and Central China(Hunan Zhuzhou). By now, BAIC’s plan of distributing big five production bases is smoothly achieved.

It is informed that the completed East China production base may become BAIC’s future SUV base which is planned to produce 3 million vehicles yearly.
