Shanghai Volkswagen Sept Sales Ranked Top, Increased 25.2%

Recently, Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. has published its sales record: the company has achieved 141,616 in Sept 2013, which has increased 25.2% over the performance of last year. The first three quarter sales are up to 1,163,624, which have increased 22.6%. Passenger car has sold 12.85 million in the first three quarters, which has increased 14.02%. The growth rate of Shanghai Volkswagen has exceeded its opponents far away.

According to China Automobile Association rank, Shanghai GM has taken champion of Sept and first three quarters passenger cars. In Sept, Shanghai GM and FAW-Volkswagen have sold 134.7 thousand and 134.1 thousand respectively which take the second and third ranks. In the first three quarters, Shanghai GM has sold 1.14 million, which has increased 14.0% over last year; Faw-Volkswagen has sold 1.13 million, which has increased 16.1% over last year.

In Sept, Volkswagen of Shanghai Volkswagen has sold 121,600, which has increased 31% over the performance of last year. New Lavida has sold 28,094 in Sept, which has contributed to 42,267 Lavida series sales. Gran Lavida has sold 12,315 in Sept. Since it launches market, its sales keep increased. New Passat has sold 20,133 in Sept which makes Passat achieve 1.5 million sales as the first upper middle class car in China. The new Santana has sold 20,480 in Sept. And Polo family has sold 13,777 in Sept. Polo has sold 11,810 among them. New Tiguan has sold 17,301, which has increased 24%.

According to SAIC Group bulletin, Shanghai Volkswagen production is 140,268 in Sept. The figure for last year was 114,895, which has increased 22.08% this year. The first three quarters production of Shanghai Volkswagen is 1,193,780, and the figure for last year was 982,450, which has increased 21.51%.
