Hiroji Onishi, director of Toyota China, said at media conference that the company will continue its “China Toyota” strategy, and pursue localization strategy. Toyota wants to continue“provide satisfied products to Chinese customers, introduce core technology into China, carry on Chinese business with partners and dedicates Toyota enterprise responsibility and value”, and express its localization result by “product” and “technology”.

Toyota Changshu Auto Research Center found one week before auto exhibition holding. It means that Toyota is transferring its core hybrid technology into China, and it is the first time for Toyota building its research center out of Japan. In the future, the research center will cooperate with joint venture to develop 2015 hybrid car technology. According to Hiroji Onishi introduction, Toyota sales of first 10 months in China have 5% increase, include exported car. It is no doubt to achieve its 900 thousand sales goals. With “China Toyota” localization strategy initialing, Toyota plans to accelerate its product introducing from 2015.

Changzheng DONG points out that Sept of last year sales has dropped to half volume of normal sales. Therefore, fast grow of this year actually push our growth back to normal level of 2011. After we come back to route, market performance of next year should be better. So we plan to break 1 million sales next year.

2013 is so called “small size vehicle year one” for Toyota. The two small size cars are developed based on survey covered more than 50 big middle and small cities, with more than 1 million samples.
