Dongfeng Nissan Had Achieved Sales Target in Advance
It is reported exclusively the sales of Dongfeng Nissan is 900,000 by the end of 22th December 2013. The growth rate is 16.4% comparing to the data of last year. The sales target is completed 9 days ahead. The sales of Nissan brand are 80,000 and the sales of Venucia brand are 100,000.
Mr. Yang, the vice minister of sales department in Dongfeng Nissan, said in the auto show of Guangzhou, "Japanese cars including Dongfeng Nissan are affected due the eternal event in September. After making great efforts for the whole year, our sales keep recovering. The total sales have exceeded the data of last year."
Analyst told reporter, "The technology investment on Japanese cars is much less than others including Toyota and Nissan. But this year Japanese auto manufacturers make great progress on this issue. The Diaoyu Island Incident was only a blasting fuse." Mr. Yang said, Nissan also reviewed on its own strategy after Diaoyu Island Incident to see if there is something needs improving except for external factors such as competitiveness, service, brand image etc.
Mr. Yang also said, “The products at present are global in fact. For Nissan, our biggest shareholder is Renault and our president Ghosn is French. The capital structure is global. For the technology, it is also global. Any new technology will cause scale effect.”
Behind satisfied sales, we can see many different models make contribution. For Teana model, the sales from 21st Nov. to 18th Dec. are over 14,000. The model Sylphy is top 1 in both Dongfeng Nissan and Japanese cars. In 2013, the average sales of Sylphy per month is around 20,000 which ranks top 10 of domestic passenger car. In November, the sales of Sylphy are over 30,000. By the end of 19th December, the total sales of Sylphy are over 247,000.
