The Volume of BAIC Motor in 2014 is Estimated to be 1.68 Million

After announcing the sales volume of 2013 exceeds 0.2 million, the year-on-year growth exceeds 200%, BAIC Motor has set the target of 2014. In January 2, Mr. Chen, the vice president of BAIC Motor, told the reporter, the volume of BAIC Motor should be 1.68 million and own-brand cars would challenge the target of 0.37 million, the year-on-year growth would be 85%.

Mr. Chen also told the reporter BAIC Motor was confident for this target in the background of fierce competition. He said, "The performance of 3 main products gives us enough confidence and we keeps developing new products at the same time. And the system of BAIC Motor's own brand is also improved constantly including quality and management."

It is known the sales volume of BAIC Motor own brand was 0.20 million. There are many models on the list of sales volume. In 2014, BAIC Motor will keep releasing new models. Mr. Chen said C50 would be released in first quarter and C60 will released in second half of 2014. C50 and C60 will be manufactured in Beijing and Guangzhou respectively.

Mr. Chen also said, "2014 is the key to BAIC Motor strategy." Besides the development of own brand, the business growth of Beijing Hyundai and Beijing Benz is also the important mission of BAIC Motor. The volume of Beijing Hyundai in 2013 is over 1 million, total volume was over 5 million. The capacity of 3 factories is 1 million and new factory is just around the corner.
