GAC Trumpchi Overseas Strategy Speeding Up, Plans Building another 2 Plants

Jan 2014, GAC Trumpchi announces that monthly sales of Jan is 12 thousand, which remains a good beginning of Horse Year. Last year, GAC Trumpchi sales reach 85 thousand the entire year, which has increased 158%, and far more over 15.71% growth of industry average. Besides, purchase of owner introduction as high as 20%~ 30%, which means its product is identified by customers.

In 2014, GAC Trumpchi announces that sales goal of the year is up to 115 thousand, which will remain its great-leap-forward development。 WU Song, general manager of the company says the company is developing individual DNA for new product development. Trumpchi has formed 2 systems and 4 platforms. It plans to introduce 20-30 new cars into market in the next 5 years.

This year, Trumpchi has speeded up its steps. It speed up one new car each year to four new cars, includes GA5 1.6T, GS6, GA3F and GA6. GS6 will gear with 1.8T engine and the latest 7 speeds dual- clutch transmission, which is expected to be the next star.

Meanwhile, the most important task of Trumpchi is, as WU Song introduction, international strategy development.

No long ago, GAC Trumpchi has cooperated with ITTF with “2013 ITTF Pro Tour Finals”, which publishes its “Action with strategy, layout integration, development stable and breakup focused” in Dubai. WU Song says it does not only a start of China owned brand rising sharply, but also Chinese young automobile power step to the world.

Middle East layout of GAC Trumpchi has progress also. The first phrase exported volume is 115, which exports to Kuwait as early as Sept 2013. At present, dealers of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are decided already. Besides passenger car export, GAC Trumpchi oversea plant chooses is under discussion. It plans to build a assemble CKD plant into Russia and Iran respectively, which is expected to produce three models sold in China right now.

According to sales plan, GAC Trumpchi shall realize as many as 500 thousand sales up to 2017, which exported sales shall reach 100 thousand which will takes 20%. However, 5 thousand exported sales goal of this year only takes less than 5% quota of the entire year. It has a long way to go on export area.

Besides GAC Trumpchi, some other China owned automobile companies aim oversea market recent years. Great Wall, Chery and Geely are very eye-catching. Take Chery as an example, it has built as many as 17 CKD plants, with as many as 21 thousand annual production capacity. Besides, Great Wall and Geely have built more than 10 CKD plants overseas. As for GAC Trumpchi, overseas plant building is a very important step, and it still has a long way to go compared with other pioneers.
