GAC Trumpchi Plans Introducing 30 New Cars into Market in the Next 5 Years

With development ability fast growth, GAC Trumpchi has enough technology reserve for new car development. At present, GAC Trumpchi general manager WU Song says that the next 5 years is the intensive product introduction period for GAC Trumpchi, which will introduce 30 new cars into market.

"GAC Trumpchi plans to research and develop new cars based on 4 platform and 2 research system. It will finally forms 4 platforms include A class platform, successor B class platform, longer GAC Trumpchi mode C class platform and SUV platform." WU Song says.

As it known, GAC Trumpchi has achieved its "3 steps jump" with 3 years. Since the first product of GAC Trumpchi market launching, Trumpchi spends 3 years to double its sales. Sales of year 2011 was 17 thousand. The next year sales has mounted to 33 thousand,. In year 2013, slaes has achieved 85 thousand, and successful realize profit that year, which as high as 300 million CNY.

Based on sales and profit "big harvest" of year 2013, GAC Trumpchi speeds up its middle and long term plan. Vice general manager of GAC passenger car GU Huinan says GAC Trumpchi plans to invest 7 billion CNY up to 2015, which will be used for new car introducing. In the future, GAC Trumpchi will cover high-end, medium high, medium, economic, SUV and MPV segments.

"We will have 200 thousand car production capacity, 250 thousand engines production capacity at the end of year 2015. It will keep moving to 400 thousand cars and 500 thousand engines per year, which include 100 thousand sales overseas." GU Huinan says.

As core accessories part, according to GU Huinan introduction, GAC Trumpchi owns 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 NA engines already. It will introduce 1.6T engine this year. GU Huinan says "GAC Trumpchi research its own gearbox which will be build in new cars this year as well."

GU Huinan says the reason for GAC Trumpchi has its good result it because of technology self development. "The first generation of our product is not just simply imitation, but integrated with our own gene. Japanese car has its advantages on technology and quality, but European car wins car development and performance. GAC path is introducing, absorbing, and creative, deeply integration. After integration, GAC has its chance to exceed." GU Huinan says.

This year, GAC Trumpchi will introduce Trumpchi system mode GA3F, and the second SUV mode GS6, and GA5 brother mode GA6 which aims higher segment. With several new cars marketing launching, WU Song says the sales goal for GAC Trumpchi this year is 115 thousand, and step forwards 135 thousand.
