FAW Toyota will challenge the volume target of 1 million in 2020

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai Mar 23) – The New Crown from FAW Toyota has been released recently after long-time warm up, whose price could be as low as less than 300,000 Yuan. Mr. Jiang, the general manager of FAW Toyota, says they will challenge the volume target of 1 million in the year 2020 under the ground of many new cars and adjustments.

As introduced, the sales volume target of FAW Toyota in 2015 is 610,000, increasing by only 4% on year-on-year basis. Mr. Jiang says about this, this number is rational and steady and we plan to fully recover in 2015 to drive positive circle of total system.

As the plan of FAW Toyota, 7 zones project will be used instead of 6 zones for faster action and retail and key account businesses are combined. Besides, new small stores are established and mini shop stand and 1S form are introduced to reduce investment cost of distributors. Mr. Jiang also says they will set up more distributors in blank cities.

New models of FAW Toyota in 2015 will lay the foundation for sales target in 2020, such as first model, New Crown. In first half year, FAW Toyota plans to release 5 models equipped with 2.5LV6 engine, whose prices are between 279,800 Yuan and 385,800 Yuan. The models with 2.0T engine will be released in second half year. As the 14th model of the series, New Crown is designed on the base of overseas MAJESTA Crown and improved on appearance according to the demand of Chinese customers.

Industry analysts figure that lower price of New Crown might be an advantage over Audi A6L and BMW 3 series. Localized SUV Prado and hybrid power Carola will be released soon and restyled & special models could be expected.

For 2020, Mr. Jiang says FAW Toyota will finish the update and release of more than 15 models. Toyota global product architecture will be guided into China in 2012, establishing new product system through brand new platform and engine.
