There will be 530 more 4S shops in China this year according the plan of Dongfeng Peugeot

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 14th) – Towards less growth of China auto market and saturation of first-tier cities auto markets, auto enterprises keeps investing more on channels and increasing the capacity in the same time. In according with the plan of Dongfeng Peugeot, there must be 530 more 4S shops in 2015 and the channels will cover fifth & sixth-tier cities. As reporter knows, there are total 1,300 distributors of Dongfeng Peugeot at present, including 500 4S shops. The coverage rate of Chinese prefecture-level cities is as high as 83%.

The related data shows the inventory of private cars in China reached 12,584 last year, increasing by 15.5% YoY, among which there were 7,590 private saloon cars, increasing by 18,4% YoY. But the saturation of first-tier cities is quite obvious. According to the data, the sales growth of private cars in Beijing was only 2.5% last year and 29% for Chongqing.

In accordance with the plan of Dongfeng Peugeot, the construction standards of 4S shops in fifth & sixth-tier cities will be the same with first-tier cities.
