Gasgoo.com (Shanghai May 21st) – Recently, Beijing government has released the information of quitting the construction of charging points and supporting self-cycling operation of charging points by promoting marketing mode and cooperating with social force. There are about 12,000 electric vehicles in Beijing city and the sales volume is expected to break through 20,000 this year. The number of charging points is still the constraint for the development of electric vehicles with new models being released. The related data shows there are 225 charging stations in Beijing at present and total over 1,700 charging points, 70% of which are built by government and State Grid Corporation of China. The proportion between electric vehicle and charging point was 4 to 1 by the end of 2014. At the same time, the profit problem is still common so Beijing government announced the policy of charging service fee priced at 15% of fuel oil price on that day from June 1st.

On May 16th, the first batch of BAIC BJEV charging facilities constructed by auto enterprises was put into operation. There are 8 charging stations covering different kinds of real estates and total 61 public charging points, forming a complete ecological chain by crowd funding and a brand new mode reaching all-win. The enterprises and individuals involved in crowd funding could act as investor, operator of charging service or provider of place and work according to own abilities.

BAIC BJEV also released 441 strategy plan for expanding charging stations, which meant 4 business segments including system construction, charging service platform, charging overall arrangement and value-added services, 4 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen and 10,000 public charging facilities constructed by itself.

The data shows the total sales volume of BAIC BJEV are 4,000 in first 4 months of 2015, which are close to 80% of annual data in 2014. The sales volume target of BAIC is 20,000 this year.
