Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 15) - BYD recently received a resignation from Yan Hou the head of its sales subsidiary, after accomplishing a four-year development task.

Four years ago, Yan Hou was assigned when BYD was encountered with sales slump. Despite the sales crisis caused by that many dealers broke cooperation with the company, Yan Hou re-established the brand by developing a new strategy in alternative fueled cars.

In the four years, under his leadership, in the first half of the year, BYD reported sales of 23,000 units of alternative fueled cars, increasing 203.8% on a year-on-year basis. And one of its product Qin a hybrid power EV reported sales record with top sales of 16,500 units, 10,000 units more than that of the second bestseller.

Like what happed to BYD, Chery, Geely and other domestic automakers have gone through a series of challenges in the last four years, including sales slide, strategy adjustment and product sorting. And it is a common knowledge that four years is a period for sales head change.

It is reported that BYD has already picked the new head of its sales company, a professional leader in IT industry, because the next strategy focus of the company is alternative fueled cars.
