GAC Trumpchi offers civil servants group-buying discount: a unique marketing

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 22) - GAC Trumpchi launched a unique marketing “war” against the EV sales as it offers an addition subsidy to civil servants if they group purchase EV for business usage.

GAC Trumpchi has established a special sales unit for civil servants and group purchase cases. The government of Zhongshan City Guangdong Province has built up cooperation with the company with an order of 300 units. And civil servants in Wuhan City began to buy GA5REV, which has been launched at the end of last year.

GAC Trumpchi offers civil servants an accumulative subsidy of 11,000 CNY from the company and 9,000 to 12,000 CNY from government. As a result, the GA5REV, whose selling price of 199,300 CNY was finally sold at a much lower price of 112,900 CNY.

The latest regulation on official vehicles for civil servants says that no less than 30 percent EV will make up for the overall newly purchased official vehicles. GAC Trumpchi noticed that whoever grabs this potential market with civil servants will win a large share in the overall vehicle market.

Therefore, GAC Trumpchi would continue to launch three PHEVs of GA3S, GS4, GA6 and two pure EVs of GS4 and a small EV, as well as a high-end EV of GA8 PHEV.

The civil servants market is featured with concentration of purchase demand. With the new EV purchase regulation, the demand for EV will increase by a large margin. Also adoption by civil servants can serve as a big marketing measure and will promote EV sales in the general consumers.
