Chery Motor Sales acting VP purportedly intending to resign

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai July 23) - Following this year’s Auto Shanghai, Chery has announced a change in its staff. According to a report appearing in the Beijing Times today, Liu Bin, acting vice president of Chery Motor Sales, is planning to leave the company.

According to reports, Mr. Liu (pictured) has not been at Chery for a very long amount of time. He used to work alongside current Qoros Market and Sales Vice President Sun Xiaodong at Geely together before joining Chery this January. In his role of acting vice president, Mr. Liu was responsible for Chery’s sales, marketing, customer and network-related operations. An insider from the company have confirmed that Mr. Liu has stated his intent to leave Chery, adding that every effort is being made to retain him. The insider stated that Mr. Liu had not yet officially resigned.

Mr. Liu’s superior Huang Huaqiong, president of Chery Motor Sales, left the company earlier this April.
