SVW takes over imported Skoda

Recently, Shanghai Volkswagen announced to take over the after-sales service business of imported Skoda. Skoda exported to China from late 1990s and up to now about 30,000 Skoda cars are running on the Chinese roads. In Dec, 2005, Shanghai Volkswagen and Skoda automobile reached an agreement that Shanghai Volkswagen would embark on the localization of Skoda and establish only after-sales service net in China. It is reported that Shanghai Volkswagen selected 28 agents with adequate qualifications from near 80 agents which contracted with Shanghai Volkswagen before as partners to provide after-sales service for Skoda.
