Southeast-Motor launches new models 2007

Jian Qinglong, General Manager of the Southeast-Motor (hereinafter referred as SA), disclosed that four new models will be launched this year in Shanghai yesterday. In which Chrysler Dajielong, one of the most concerned domestic brands will be launched in the fourth quarter this year. And SA is going to promote a brand new product and reform its sales channel system in 2007. On behalf of SA new generation, Gelan, of which the product line now is under forming.

At the end of last year, SA has made a big regulation of its strategies. Taking Gelan as its core product, with Lanse carrying the same logo of Mitsubishi, SA brought forth the new product strategy of Gelan and defined its twin-brand strategy as the Mitsubishi-leading car & SA leading commercial vehicle. Jian Qinglong said, for the commercial vehicle, SA will bring forth the reformed model of Delica & Fulica, as well as for SA LIONCEL cars, with abundant new products to compete for China auto market in 2007.

For Chrysler-processing Grand Voyager, Jian Qinglong disclosed the progress as well yesterday, pointed out that the product line is well prepared and the specimen has been brought out. After the coming 3 stages of mass-produce is approved, it will be launched overall in the fourth quarter this year.

However, most of the being launched four new models are not a whole new model series. Jian Qinglong declared that they will still concentrate on Gelan, after all, it is the flagship product of domestic Mitsubishi. The sound record of ordering last year made them confident to complete a 50,000 sale volume this year.
