SVW sales broke 100,000-unit mark in Quarter One

SVW sales in the first three months of 2007 broke 100,000-unit mark, which made the company the second largest domestic auto seller following only SGM.

SVW flagship brands have maintained stable growth in the first quarter. Of all the models 50,000 Santana were sold during this period, of which 20,000 units of them were sold in March alone. Passat GP have been ranking in the top three sellers since its launch; POLO Jinqing and Jinqu sales were around 6,000 for single month; Sales of Touran rose by 46% year-on-year in the first quarter.

Sales of Volkswagen-branded vehicles reached 352,000 units in 2006 and SVW is hopefully to sell 396,000 vehicles in 2007.

SVW general manager Chen Zhixin told the reporter that the current momentum of their restructuring strategy and marketing-leading management mode have contributed to this success.
