2.0L auto market to see faster development

The 2.0L model has always been the hot potato in mid-high range auto market. Almost all brand vehicles have standard 2.0-liter models, including Regal, Accord, NF Yuxiang, C-Triomphe, etc.

Statistics from China Passenger Car Association show that Dongfeng C-Triomphe achieved sales of 9,643 in the 2.0L displacement market in the first quarter, higher than Mondeo,Passat and second only to Accord.

The 2.0L range auto market has maintained stable growth for a long time with Accord standing out alone in this market, but since the launch of C-Triomphe, Camry and M6, competition in this market becomes fiercer. Old brands like Accord and Passat, fall behind in comparison with Camry and C-Triomphe in terms of growth rate. Compared to the same period last year, Accord 2.0L climbed by 0.76 percent and sales growth of C-Triomphe has remained at 15%; M6 2.0L was also among the best-selling models after its launch this year.

Experts say 2.0-liter models are a combination of economic price and fashionable styling, thus this market begins to receive more and more recognition from both consumers and auto makers. This market still has a big void for future development.
