Changan Ford's sales surged to nearly 40,000 units in Q1

Chongqing Changan Ford Mazda Company said its output and sales reached nearly 40,000 units in the first quarter of 2007, up 40.8% compared to 2006, 14% higher than average auto industry growth rate.

Changan Ford Mazda sold a total of 38,908 units by wholesales in the first quarter of this year, the Ford Focus retail sales volume in the first quarter reached 20,482 units, with a growth rate of 24.3%, becoming Changan Ford Mazda sales growth main force. In addition, Changan Ford Mondeo also performed pretty well in the first quarter of this year, 11,384 units were sold, increased 23.5% year-on-year.

Data released by authority showed the average automobile industry growth rate was 26.8% in the same period.
