Japan's automobile market remained weak in 2006, major Japanese auto manufacturers will put all their efforts to dramatically increase sales in the Chinese market and expand sales networks in 2007.

Honda decided to increase its franchise dealer shops amount to 560 shops by the end of this year, an increase of 39% more than that of March.

Among them, Guangzhou Honda's "Accord" franchise dealer shops amount will reach 350; Dongfeng Honda's new "CR-V" franchise stores will increase significantly to 200. And Honda luxury models Acura franchised stores amount will increase from 3 to 10.

It is reported that Toyota Motor and Nissan Motor plan to increase the number of its franchise stores more than 20%.

In addition, Honda will further develop used-car business, and expand the purchase and sales volume.

In 2006's financial year (from April 2006 to March 2007), the Japanese market total of automobile sales were same as to that of 21 years ago. Although the micro-car sales constantly set a new high, the profit growth was limited. While in Chinese automobile market, these companies have taken measures to expand local production, enhanced the distribution network and improved after-sales service, further developing used car business.
