Suzuki unveiled mid-term target in China
Suzuki unveiled its mid-term goal for 2010 to reach a sales volume of 400,000 to 500,000 vehicles by March 2010. Suzuki hopes to sell 3 million units vehicles globally by that time, which includes the sales in the Chinese market.
Suzuki two joint ventures in China sold a total of 170,000 vehicles in 2006. Basing on this sales strength, the company plans to increase its sales target step by step with a final end to reach 400,000 to 500,000 vehicles by 2010. The company may not be able to secure its market position in this market if it fails this goal. Analysts predict the sales in the auto market this year may come to 7 million altogether.
