It is reported that all luxury cars displayed at the Shanghai Show 2007 have been sold; however, SVW ignored this fact by announcing that the company will neither introduce nor make luxury vehicles in future. Luxury models, including Ferrari Super Enzo FXX, Maybach 62S GT, Maserati GT, BMW Hydrogen 7, Rolls Royce, Benz 350 as well as Nissan Infiniti G series, were all displayed at the show.

In this market, Bentley saw its sales in China doubled last year. Rolls Royce, with cars costing as much as two million dollars, has seen China became its third most important market after the United States and Britain. It plans to double the number of showrooms in China this year. Other luxury automakers are all eying this fast growing market

During the show SVW showcased Skoda Octavia as well as Touran, aiming at strengthening its development ideal which is to put more focus on improving technology instead of catching the luxury trend.
