SVW Neeza to start volume production next year
SVW Neeza, which last year made its first debut at the Beijing Motor Show, will start volume production next year, marking the debut of self made A-range sedans from the company.
Positioned as A-range vehicle, the Neeza concept is a crossover between a coupé and a station wagon, and was designed for China. VW calls the bright red concept a "cross between a sport coupe and an estate with an off-road appearance." The model shares a platform with PQ34 or PQ35, and may also be a substitute for Santana.
Sources from SVW as well as its dealership have confirmed that the model will go on sale next year.
SVW hopes to be able to develop almost ten new models, including Skoda, etc and form its own R&D capacities by 2008.
