Lifan, one of China's biggest private motorcycle manufacturers, will introduced another B-range vehicle in the second half of this year and volume production of the bio-fuel 520 sedan will also start next year.

At the Shanghai Auto Show 2007, according to Hu Qi, general manager of Lifan's sales division, the second factory is under construction at present and is settled to roll out the first car at the beginning of 2008. At the time Lifan will be able to produce 80,000 full-sized vehicles together with 80,000 engines annually, while currently Lifan can only make 150 vehicles per day, which falls short of market demands.

Another fuel-electric powered sedan, unveiled at the show, will also be produced in China. Fitted with a self developed 1.8L engine, the upcoming B-range vehicle is predicted to be priced at no more than 100,000 yuan.
