China Q1 auto import and export volume exceeded ten bln dollars

The National customs Automobile import and export statistics show that in the first quarter, National Automobile total import and export volume amounted to 13.361 billion U.S. dollars, total imports amounted to 5.362 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 18.46%; the total export amounted to 7.999 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 36.30%.

In the first quarter of this year, exports of full-sized auto continue to maintain rapid growth, by the end of March, total auto exports amounted to nearly 100,000 units, an increase of 5.32%.

Sedan exports increased rapidly, reaching 25,000 units, an increase of 48.9%, accounted for 25.05% of the total exports.

According to the statistics, in the first quarter, vehicle sales reached 2,192,800 units and 2,123,700 units, an increase of 22.57% and 22.17%, of which passenger car production and sales were 1,578,300 units and 1,537,200 units, an increase of 23.73% and 22.36%respectively; commercial vehicle production and sales were 614,500 units and 586,200 units, an increase of 19.69% and 21.69% respectively.
