SOGEFI Group takes a close look at Chinese market

SOGEFI Group Filtration Co. Ltd held a news conference on April 27 in Shanghai to introduce Shanghai Sogefi Filtration Co. Ltd.

This newly established joint venture companies is co-established by Italian Sogefi Group and a Filter Company in Zhejiang Province, its main business is to supply specialized filters and filtration systems to the domestic market.

Since the beginning of 2007, newly established joint venture companies have started to produce oil filters for China's automobile manufacturers. This factory covers an area of about 3,000 square meters, and from the beginning of this year, the annual production aims at one million filters. Company engineers and commercial staff will work hard to develop their relationship with customers, with a target of the Ford, Geely, Mazda, Nissan, Citroen, Sinotruck, British TI Automotive and French Valeo.

Sogefi Group has more than 3,600 employees, and is one of Europe's major filter manufacturers.

Sogefi Group headquarter is located in Milan, Italy. The group has 50 production factories worldwide, 6200 staff, and achieved an annual turnover of more than one billion Euros (2006).

In addition, Sogefi Group also intends to invest more in Asia market, especially in India and South Korea.
