Toyota is readjusting its manufacturing operations in Asia recently. Toyota has seen a big sales growth in mainland China in 2006 financial year, but in other parts of Asia, Toyota sales slumped more than 10 percent to 789000 units due to falling sales in Indonesia and Taiwan.

Toyota plans to export vehicles to Southeast Asia from Toyota's plant in Taiwan, China starting this June. Toyota Taiwan plant originally produce vehicles only for local market, but it had to stop production for several times last year as sluggish demands prevailed in this region. Toyota may export its locally made Crown to Southeast Asia and will also boost production of its Indonesia plant.
