DPCA: Three new models to be launched every year

Recently, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company (DPCA) announced that 8 new models will be put into market from now to 2009, 3 new models every year at least.

The 15th anniversary of DPCA will fall on May 18.

"DPCA will launch three new models every year. By 2009, the total output will reach 400,000 units." DPCA Procurement Minister Ning Xiaoyang said recently.

The company will launch at least eight new models from 2007 to 2009 to ensure that its new products' competitiveness is at the forefront of the entire industry.

According to the DPCA planning, in early 2008, the plant in Wuhan will be completed, the annual production will top to 300,000 units, and in early 2009, the other plant will be put into operation, the production will reach 400,000 units, and will introduce more PSA models.

In addition, the latest 3rd platform will bring Citroen C5, C6, and Peugeot 406, 407, 607 and other more high-end models.
