Jilin Province plans to be China's largest automobile industry base

As auto industry being its pillar industry, Jilin Province is currently planning the construction of China's largest, first-class auto industry base.

Auto industry is the first pillar industries in Jilin Province, capital Changchun City is the largest auto and parts production and export base in China at present, there are more than 320 automobiles and auto parts production enterprises, the output value reach nearly 150 billion yuan.

From 2004, FAW Group, located in Changchun city, achieved auto sales of 1 million vehicles. This year, FAW Group is trying to reach sedan sales of 1 million. FAW Group has auto parts production base in Africa, Asia and Russia.

In the next five years, Jilin Province will invest more than 60 billion yuan on auto parts and trucks, cars and commercial vehicles bases to reach the goal of auto production 1.8 million units.
