Q1 vehicle engines output and sales top to 200 million units

According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers statistics, from January to March in 2007, total engine production of 52 domestic auto engine enterprises were 1,958,300 units, sales were 1,922,300 units, up 22.51% and 22.80% respectively. The major impetus for growth comes from basic passenger cars, SUV, MPV and commercial vehicle diesel engine models.

In the first quarter, the top 15 enterprises in the list among the 52 vehicle engine enterprises are: Liuzhou WULING, Guangxi Yuchai, Chang'an Group, FAW VW, Chery Automobile, Shanghai Volkswagen, FAW Toyota engine, Harbin Dongan Automotive Powertrain, Beijing Hyundai, FAW Group, Kunming Yunnei, Dongfeng Honda Engine, Shanghai GM, Harbin Dongan Engine and DPCA, the number of enterprises with monthly production more than 25,000 units reached 24, the number of enterprises with production of more than 50,000 units were as many as 16, and the number of enterprises with engines over 100,000 units reached 4, and these figures have set record highs.
