Huatai Automobile Group, a leading SUV (sport utility vehicle) maker in China, will launch two new models in September while adding thirty more distribution outlets late this year.

Huatai, a cooperator with the S. Korean automaker Hyndai, will release the two brand-new SUVs---Santa Fe 1.8T and the luxury version of Terracan 2.4MPI, both running on small gasoline(petrol) engines. By doing so, Huatai eyes to further its market penetration after it has already made a big success in the diesel engine SUV segment.

Since Santa Fe was locally produced last year, the main product line of Huatai is improved; the sales up to date this year increase 168 percent so far. However, the growth is still below Huatai's expectation, so the SUV expert will add 30 more sales outlets to the existing 70 ones, east China and south China being the focus; second, Huatai will help the dealers complete the regional secondary dealership construction, thoroughly netting the whole market.

Through the cooperation with Hyundai, Huatai benefited from the advanced automobile manufacturing technology of Korea, and has progressively formed its own core competitiveness ― the diesel oil engine technology. The current lineup of Huatai mainly composes of large emission and diesel engine vehicles.
