Audi A5, R8 to be introduced to China

Sources from FAW-VW Audi Sales Division say that the Audi A5 and R8 will be introduced into the Chinese market earlier next year. Audi also wants to double the volume in China to 200,000 vehicles a year over the long-term, which illustrates the great importance Audi attaches to the Chinese market.

Audi R10 has won the champion in the 24 Heures du Mans 2007. Although not the first diesel to race, it was the first to achieve victory. It is also reported Audi is the only model that dominates the race with its R8. Although Panoz, Chrysler, and MG would all briefly attempt to take on Audi, none could match the R8's performance.
