Geely engine production capacity to reach 200,000 units

According to last week's media reports Geely's latest manual transmission JL-S148 have already been developed, and is expected to be mass produced in the second half of this year.

The JL-S148 manual transmission is developed based on the JL-S160 manual transmission. It is said to have more efficient fuel consumption, lower noise and has better performance in terms of acceleration and gear shifting. The engine has already been tested on the road, and will be mass produced soon.

Currently, the annual production capacity of the channel transmission plant has reached 200,000 units, of which 20,000 units are automatic transmission. In 2010 Geely plans to launch six kinds of manual transmissions six kinds of automatic transmissions, and three kinds of electronic CVT, which will include six speed and eight speed automatic transmission.
