Brilliance Auto plans to double sales revenue by 2010
Brilliance Auto, parent of Brilliance China Automotive Holdings, said recently it aims to double its annual revenue by 2010. It is counting on the boost in vehicle sales to achieve this.
Brilliance Auto's sales rose 55 percent to 22.1 billion Yuan in the first half year, according to a statement in the Shanghai Securities News.
The mid-sized Chinese automaker is aiming for its annual turnover to increase to 80 billion yuan by 2010, with its vehicle sales achieving 500,000 units. In comparison, the estimated turnover in 2007 is 40 billion yuan and its vehicle sales is expected to reach 300,000 units, it said.
The Chinese automaker, which has a joint venture in China with BMW in Shenyang, has secured a deal last year to sell 158,000 sedans in Europe over the next five years, including the BS6 mid-range model.
