Hongqi Company to launch class B and class D sedan

"FAW Hongqi Sales Company has been set up in Beijing, which will further improve Hongqi sales network." said Zhang Pijie, FAW Car Company general manager at the 13th Changchun Auto Show.

Hongqi Company has 13 franchised dealerships, and the Company plans to increase the number to more than 20 in major cities.

Zhang also disclosed that the Company will gradually increase the proportion of independent research and development, especially in the field of self developed technology. The Company will launch class B and D sedan, and a luxury limousine model. In addition, the Company will also develop SUV, minibus and other models.

Zhang added that the Company now is developing four-cylinder and six-cylinder direct injection engine, as well as HQE V12 engine. Meanwhile, FAW is also making self-developed automatic transmission.
