Toyota to display 15 vehicles at Changchun auto show

Toyota Motor Corp. saw its China sales surge 77% to 212,000 units in the first six months of 2007 from the year-ago period and it want to hit 450,000 units by the end of this year, a Toyota spokesman said during the press day for the 5th Changchun International Auto Expo (Changchun Motor Show).

Toyota is displaying 15 vehicles at the Changchun Motor Show, which runs from July 13-24. In addition to the Prius and Prius GT, the latest Toyota fuel-cell vehicle Fine-NT is exhibited at the show. Two Lexus brand vehicles, the LS600hL、RX400h, are also be on display. Toyota's Yaris, which is selling very well in Europe, becomes a big attraction for customers.

At the same time Toyota will give a careful explanation of the operating principle of Toyota gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles, with 1 million units already been sold worldwide.
