China-made Mercedes-Benz E-230 sedan will be launched soon in the Chinese market. Meanwhile, the official prices of the latest E-class models will be released. Beijing Benz announced recently.

The new Benz E-230 is priced at 548,000 yuan, carrying a 2.5L 6-cylinder engine. Mercedes-Benz said this model is specifically designed for the Chinese market.

The launching of the E-class sedan filled the blank of its mid segment market, and further improved MB lineup in the Chinese market. Currently, China-made Benz E-class sedans have already six models, powered 2.0L, 2.5L, 3.0L and 3.5L engines.

The six models of Benz E 230 are priced at: 498,000 yuan, 54.8 million, 618,000 yuan, 638,000 yuan and 748,000 yuan.

Insiders pointed out that the Mercedes-Benz Group used to be a sort of conservative enterprise in China, but now it is becoming more and more aggressive. In the Chinese high-end auto market, Audi, Benz and BMW are direct competitors, Audi sales have been better than those of the other two for quite a well; however, Benz and BMW market share are increasing at a large margin in recent years. And the introduction of E-series is part of Benz China strategy.
